Sete Cidades (7-Cities)
One of Portugal's Natural Wonders!
On this day our journey starts on the west coast of the island where it´s possible to enjoy the magnificent view over the newest and narrowest part of São Miguel. As you are surrounded by the greenest vegetation, we will find in Vista do Rei 's viewpoint Sete Cidades volcanic complex as well as the twin lakes (Blue and Green lakes).
On top of the crater, there are a few other view points. Afterwards we head down to the picturesque town of Sete Cidades where we will have lunch at a local restaurant.

Valley of Furnas
Arriving at Furnas' valley, you will experience right away a very calming atmosphere. The sounds of the running streams all around you, the beauty of nature surrounds you. This is nature at it's best!
We will spend time at Parque Terra Nostra--this is a beautiful botanical garden. Step into a walking botanical journey, showcasing a varied collection of plants and flowers of cultural and historic value from all around the World, end with a relaxing mineral-infused and beautiful thermal pool surrounded by wonderful nature--a must to bathe in!
No matter what season or level of expertise there’s always something interesting for everyone to enjoy. The gardens is exuberant all year with impressive century-old trees, huge collections of colorful, rare and strange plants, specialty gardens, beautiful avenues with sculptures and fountains, and dazzling year-round blooms of fragrant flower tones for the eye, nose, and camera!
We will have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant cooked in the hot springs. The underneath holes cooking of the famous “Cozido das Furnas” (Furnas stew), a gastronomic specialty of Azores, which we will also stop and learn more about.
When we visit the Caldeiras where you can see the fumaroles and water spots, some of them are cold and others hot. These are unique in they have medicinal properties.
Afterwards, we'll enjoy the amazing view over Furnas' valley at the Pico de Ferro's viewpoint (weather permitting). We'll visit the Gorreana's tea plantation and also its factory, where we can taste the two kind of tea – black and green at a very relaxing atmosphere.
