We'll enjoy a walking panoramic city tour to admire it's beautiful architecture that must be seen on foot. The amazing Foz district where the river of Douro meets the Atlantic Ocean is a must see! Braga and Guimarães
Braga is known as the city of the Archbishops due to its long clerical history. We'll visit the Cathedral, monument with over a thousand years and a former stronghold of the Christian faith. And also, the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus with its famous staircase.
Time at leisure for lunch. Continue to Guimarães, the cradle of nationality. Visit of the historic center. We'll also visit one of the local wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, with a wine tasting! |
Douro
Douro is famous for it's Port Wine and is known to be "Port Wine Country". So we just could leave without tasing and visiting one of the local farms for a visit and wine tasting!
Coimbra, Fatima
One of Europe’s oldest university towns, which has kept its secular academic traditions. We'll do a walking tour by the old city and a visit to the University - one of the 1st in Europe - with its famous tower, sumptuous Baroque library and beautiful chapel.

This Sanctuary welcomes millions of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world.
The fame of this place is the result of the Apparitions of Our Lady of the Rosary to three shepherd children, Lucia and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta that, between May and October of 1917, witnessed successive apparitions.

Enjoy the most important avenues and squares, such Marquês de Pombal-Avenida da Liberdade-Restauradores. Stop at the top of Edward VII Park to enjoy a magnificent view over the hills of Lisbon and the River Tagus. Pass by the Parliament and the 18th century Basilica da Estrela.
Belém to see the most iconic monuments of Lisbon related to the historical golden period of the Portuguese Maritime Discoveries: Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries and Jerónimos Monastery
Sintra, Cascais
Sintra, classified by UNESCO, set in the middle of beautiful mountains - Manor houses and Palaces are scattered along its winding streets and its town Palace was once the summer residence of the Portuguese Royal Family (visit included).
Short guided tour in the historical center and free time to walk through the picturesque narrow streets. We suggest a visit to “Piriquita”, one of the most famous local coffee shops, to try on each own, one of the local pastry specialities: the “Queijada” or the “Travesseiro”.
We'll stop at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, "where the land ends and the sea begins..."
Following the coastline, enjoy the fantastic panoramic approach to Guincho beaches before reaching Cascais, originally a fishing village, nowadays a beautiful cosmopolitan town where we admire pretty houses and a beautiful bay.

Two Excursions Included:
The journey begins on the west coast of the island where it's possible to enjoy the view over the newest and narrowest part of São
Miguel from the Pico do Carvão viewpoint. Surrounded by the greenest vegetation, we'll find the Vista do Rei's viewpoint--the volcanic complex as well as the twin lakes (blue and green lakes). Then on the crater there's an amazing view of Santiago's lake. |
In Furnas we'll see some volcanic phenomena known as "fumaroles" and learn about them. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a wonderful meal cooked especially for us in the "calderias" known as the "cozido"
We will also spend some time in the beautiful Parque Terra Nostra. Stroll the botanical gardens, take a swim in the natural hot springs! |
